I have been using Windows since I was 10 years old- I like it very much. Now, though, I’m beginning to try using my Mac. At first, I loved the Mac; its speed was quite impressive. But I quickly found out that I could not run most of my (Windows-Only) apps. I run a business, and it is imperative that I have quick and easy access to programs like a productivity suite. So, I obtained Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac. I am happy to report that it works great.
However, not everything I needed was as easy as the speed and Office. I cannot use my laser printer with the Mac. That’s a HUGE downside. I own a business and I can’t print. Or my camera- it just won’t work. This is the problem with Mac gear- it’s perfect on its little island, but when people (such as those in the business world) try to integrate it into their systems, they run into huge and prohibitive compatibility issues. With these issues as they are, I may be forced to head back to Windows for now, but maybe someday I will be able to use the Mac for my business needs.
