I have been using Windows 8 for about two months now, and I think the operating system has great potential.  Windows 8 is compatible, there is a nice interface, and it’s very touch/tablet friendly.  My favorite feature is the new Metro UI.  I especially like how I can have all my apps laid out in tiles, this makes indexing them very simple.  The other feature I like is the compatibility.  I plugged in my old printer and, it worked fine with Windows 8.  One thing that is not good about Windows 8, is that Microsoft completely changed the OS from Windows 7.  Personally, I like the change, but some people may not because if they have been using Windows for a long time, users will have to relearn a great deal about how things are laid out.  Learning to use some new things is okay, and it seems like it will be easy to do.  The other feature I like is the touch-friendly interface.  There are big buttons, and everything is optimized for a touch screen or tablet.  You can used it on your desktop, but it is nice to know that you can have it on touch devices now.  So overall, I think it will be a very nice operating system to use.  I can not wait until the final release comes out!
