MobileFun.co.uk were kind enough to send the Samsung YA-SBR510 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker System out for review. I’ve been using it for the past couple weeks, and now it’s time for me to bring you my review!
This speaker system is the world’s first Hyper 3 Channel Surround Sound Speaker. It consists of one single unit with 3 separate channels. What is the advantage of this? The sound quality does not falter as you move around the room, and you keep that surround sound effect.
After using the speaker for an extended amount of time, I can safely say that the sound quality is incredible! Not only does it have stunning stereo quality, but the shear volume the speaker can reach without distortion is incredible!
The speaker itself features 3 capacitive touch buttons along the bottom with several sensor lights. The 4 lights along the left are to indicate which input is active. This includes an AUX input, an optical input, a USB input and Bluetooth input. On the right of the speaker, we also have a euphony indicator and two other capacitive touch buttons which control the volume (up and down)
Included with the speaker, we also get a remote control with a range of controls to your disposal.
A lot of Bluetooth devices loose range quite easily, but this speaker system is different. The range you can be from the the speaker without losing connection is incredible! I had the speaker downstairs in one room, went to the other side of the house, and I could still control the speaker! I only have one bad point about the Bluetooth on the speaker. When you’re watching videos with the speaker as the audio output, there is a noticeable lag, and the audio may be out of sync with the mouth. However, this is only expected as the audio does have to travel over the air.
A great feature about this speaker is that although it is fully compatible with bluetooth devices, it is also fully compatible with non-bluetooth devices through a 35mm headphone jack line in connection. You don’t have to worry about having the correct cables, they’re all included in the box!
Around the back of the speaker, we can lift up a little flap where all of our wire inputs are present.
The power lead comes in two parts. The AC power adapter which goes into the wall, and the AC cord which goes into the speaker system. This means that cable is extremely long so you won’t have any issues placing the system on a table or ledge without it reaching the power.
I have just one bad point about the speaker system. this is the fact it is a complete finger print magnet! I think that in this sense, the product would be better if it had a matte finish rather than a glossy finish.
I strongly believe that overall, this speaker is great value for money! Mobile Fun actually have an incredible deal going on for this speaker.
