With WWDC around the corner, it’s very exciting to think about what iOS 6 might have in store for iOS users who will be able to run it. Today, I will be sharing some things that I am hoping for.
Notification Center and Notifications
It would be nice to see widgets in the notification center. The weather and stocks are perfect examples of this, but I would like to see more! Open the widget section of the App Store, please! Another thing I would like to see here is the ability to dismiss notifications as they come in from the lockscreen. Have you ever recieved a text message that simply says “ok”? You get that notification telling you about it, and that’s all you need, but it’s still going to be there until you open the app or unlock the phone and dismiss it.
Here, I just want the ability to post to Facebook, the same as you can with Twitter. It makes things easy and quick. iOS 5′s Twitter integration is awesome, but Facebook in addition to Twitter would top off the iOS social experience!
Siri
Siri is very cool and can be useful, but she could be so much more helpful, by doing even a few more things, such as launching apps or inline integration with the rest of the OS. Tweet for us, Siri! In my case, the ability to use mappings would be awesome in Canada too!
