On September 12th, Apple is expected to finally announce the iPhone 5, the most anticipated Apple release in history. If announced on September 12th in addition to the release of the new iPhone, the iOS 6 release date, Apple’s latest and greatest mobile operating system, is expected to be the 12th as well. We have known about iOS 6 since since it was announced at WWDC 2012 but have had to sit and wait patiently.
Apple announced iOS 6 at Apple’s Word Wide Developers Conference, however, it is still only available for developers,but I have my hands on it and have done a little review. The iOS 6 release date is expected to be on September 12th, 2012. This will be a major delight to Apple fans as the iOS 5 release came and went with some major hiccups and battery issues.
Before we get started, YouTube has now gone and maps are now 3D with turn by turn directions.
I have had my hands on the iPad 3 iOS6 and I have got to say its faster and more flexible.
Major Upgrade for Siri: You can now get sports updates, make restaurant reservations, watch movie trailers, launch apps and tweet by voice. Siri is now also available for the iPad 3 only.
Facebook Integration: Facebook will integrate with iOS 6 in a similar way Twitter currently integrates with iOS 5.
New Phone App Features: You can now set reminders to call people back and send messages instead of calling. This is only for iPhone- apply a Do Not Disturb feature that does not alert you with notifications with both
