Today, Apple released the final version of FaceTime to the App Store. For anybody who may not know, FaceTime is now available for any Mac with an iSight camera (now known as the FaceTime camera.) It allows you to video chat with any FaceTime-enabled iPhone, iPod Touch, or Mac. Most of us had already been using the beta for a few months, and we were all set to download the new version… for free. However, the application is $.99 for everybody in the Mac App Store, and free on new Macs. I have since purchased and downloaded the application, and from what I can tell right now, it’s no different than the beta. It may be more stable, but no new features have been added.
