News

  • All-New YouTube Layout: YouTube have quietly released a new styling for their video sharing site, codenamed Cosmic Panda. It looks a lot more like the recently announced Google+ social network, and the design has darker elements, is very simplistic, and concentrates on graphics more than text.   • Android App Market Update: The new layout makes it easier for users to find the desired app. There are more charts, and apps can be split into ‘Free’ and ‘Paid’ apps, similar to the Apple App Store. In addition to the new layout, the Market now includes ‘Books’ and ‘Films’ sections, which makes purchasing eBooks and movies easy. Sadly, these new sections are only available in the US for now.
  • New Windows Phone 7 Devices: At a developer’s conference in LA, Microsoft showed off four new devices, which are yet named. Little information was given about these devices from Acer, ZTE and Fujitsu, however the highlight must be the one from Samsung, which has an elegant, Galaxy S 2 look to it.

Rumors

  • Possible iPod Touch with 3G Connectivity?: This rumor has been going around the web for a little while now, however it seems more likely now after a Dutch technology blog reported that a source hinted at this. It may sound pointless at first, however when you think about it, it could potentially work well, especially with the release of iMessage and FaceTime.
