We all knew that Mac OS X Lion was being released today, due to the confirmation by Apple in yesterday’s conference call. But, what we didn’t bargain for were new MacBook Airs, and new Mac Minis, and boy, did Apple give them a kick with their brand new specs!
MacBook Air
Starting at $999 for the 11 inch model, you’re now getting a lot more for your money. The 11 inch base line model now presents a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 chip, with 2GB memory, and the same 64GB flash storage solid state drive, with the Intel HD Graphtics 3000. The 13 inch model base line now presents a 1.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 chip, with 4GB memory, and a 128GB flash storage solid state drive.
ALL MacBook Air models now ship with Mac OS X Lion.
Mac Mini
Starting at only $599, you’regetting even better value! For your $599, you’re going to be getting a 2.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 chip, 2GB RAM and an upgraded hard drive to 500GB! (Base line model).
