Many have seen that the iTunes App Store is about to hit 10 billion downloads.   Its amazing that in less that 3 years there has been almost 10 billion downloads (app store was first released on July 11, 2008 with the 2.0 software.)  Apple has said that the winner (person that downloads the 10 billionth app) will receive a $10,000 dollar gift card to the App Store.  As expected, the chart showing how many downloads there are is going up very quickly.  There are literally 100 downloads a second..that’s incredible on any standards.  Keep buying apps, and let us know if you hit the 10 billionth!
