So, we know that the iPad 2nd Gen is coming out next year. It is obvious, and we know its coming. So, this was mentioned in the previous server, but for the sake of having it now, I will make a personal prediction on what the new iPad will hold for us. Since we have heard some of this on TechInform before, I will make this brief.
Hardware We know since the iPhone has it, and the 4th Generation iPod Touch has it, the new iPad will have at least a front facing camera for Facetime! Since the 1st and 2nd Gen iPod Touches had different designs to them, we probably won’t have a new design. This depends only if Apple is feeling creative. Now, since the iPad was meant for something to be between a net book and a smartphone, we should see an increase in processing power. We will also see a memory increase. How about a retina display? Yes, but not to the extent of 720p hi-def viewing. The screen might be adjusted to play that amount, but nothing like the 326ppi screen found in the iPhone and iPod Touch 4, simply because thats too much hardware for a screen that big. We can, of course, all hope for a bigger battery as well.
Launch Date
Tech Inform is predicting the iPad 2′s launch date to the public to be in April, 2011.
