Yes folks you read correctly. An $8,000,000 iPad 2 has been made. Now you might ask “how?” and we asked the same.
This amazing iPad 2 was designed by Stuart Hughes and includes some of the earth’s oldest materials. The custom designed iPad has two main pieces. The back is made of 2000 grams of 24ct gold. The Apple logo has 53 individually set gems. The front bezel is made from the oldest rock the world has to offer (75 million years old) in the form of Ammolite. Also as if all this isn’t enough the Ammolite has a second touch, there are tiny shavings of T-REX bone set in the stone. To top it all off this iPad 2 also includes a flawless 8.5ct diamond for a home button. When the iPad 2 was released we expected the usual diamond encasement but what we got is truly incredible.
However, unless you are Steve Jobs or Oprah you shouldn’t expect to have your own 75 Million year old iPad 2 seeing as the price tag is sitting at $8,000,000.
