TechInform didn’t start with me, but it followed me for years — through high school, quiet eras, almost-buying-it moments, and finally owning the whole weird machine.

2010
Boot sequence
Ryan and friends launch TechInform as a companion to a tech YouTube channel. Passion over polish. The domain starts accumulating lore.

2011
I plug in
I hear about the site through a former business partner writing for it, then join the team for a stretch — WordPress upgrades, reclaiming email after a hostage-situation developer moment, and helping host the first TechInform livestream. Big 2011 energy.

2012+
Sleep mode
School, life, everybody gets busy. TechInform never fully dies, but some years it’s more time capsule than publication. Ryan keeps paying the bills anyway. That matters.

2018
Editor reboot
Brad steps in as editor-in-chief while Ryan still owns the site. Real momentum returns for a while. Then tech blogs do what tech blogs do: demand more consistency than real life can spare.

Failed acquisition.exe
I try to buy TechInform. Ryan isn’t ready. Fair. The craving to bring it back doesn’t go away.

Ownership unlock
Things finally line up. TechInform moves through a prior company, then into Glupe Media Group LLC with me. After years around the project, it’s mine to rebuild — not as a fake newsroom, as a personal system.

Personal OS chapter
Linux experiments, used workstation hunting, Mac and Windows opinions, home-lab chaos, video when there’s something to show, sister sites when curiosity demands it. Publish when it’s real. Keep the domain weird and alive.
