Are you a fan of Apple that just can’t get enough of their products or do you know someone who happens to be an Apple fanboi? The new “Designed By Apple In California” picture book that Apple announced today may be the perfect addition for you or that certain someone.

The book uses 450 photographs to chronicle Apple’s 20+ years of design, covering designs from the iMac in 1998 to the newest computers and accessories released this year. The book “also documents the materials and techniques used by Apple’s design team over two decades of innovation.” and is dedicated to Apple’s late CEO, Steve Jobs.

Photographer Andrew Zuckerman took the photos in the book, which are said to detail the design process of each product, as well as detailed photos of them in their final form. It wouldn’t be an Apple designed product without input from Jony Ive, who gives the foreword in the book, explaining that “This archive is intended to be a gentle gathering of many of the products the team has designed over the years. We hope it brings some understanding to how and why they exist, while serving as a resource for students of all design disciplines.”

Apple has said to have been working on the book for 8 years, paying particularly close attention to the look and design of it and uses only the highest quality products. Apple will be publishing “Designed By Apple In California” themselves, and it will only be available directly through their stores and website beginning tomorrow.

The book will be available in two sizes, similar to many of Apple’s other products. The smaller 10.20″ x 12.75″ version will sell for $199, while the larger 13″ x 16.25″ version will sell for $299. While the prices seem a bit high, the book is made from the highest quality materials available, and you have to remember that it is an Apple product, so you’ll be paying the infamous “Apple tax.”
