Earlier this week, Apple launched a dedicated Twitter account, @AppleSupport, to post tips and tricks for their devices, as well as respond to the inquiries of users on the social network.
We’re always looking for new ways to help you get the most from products. Meet @AppleSupport! https://t.co/YhdvY44PPS
— Tim Cook (@tim_cook) March 3, 2016
Since launching approximately 36 hours prior to post being written, almost 150,000 people have followed the account, and it has already sent out over 4,000 tweets, many of them replies to customers seeking help with their various Apple products.
With this move, Apple has joined many other companies who provide support via Twitter in less than 140 characters. Because of the ease of contacting a company via Twitter, it has become my go-to site for support for many products and services that I use on a daily basis.
According to the accounts biography, Apple will provide tips, tricks and helpful information when you need it most, daily from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM (PST).
If you’d like to follow the account, once again it is @AppleSupport on Twitter. While you’re at it, TechInform is also on Twitter @TechInformus. Be sure to follow us too!
I think this is an interesting move by Apple. I do like how they are opening up their options though.
